The Finnish artist Annu Vertanen will be working in our studios from October 15 to 26. With a strong career that spreads over twenty-five years, this artist creates works in which she plays with superposition and transparencies through techniques she has learned especially in Japan.

Artist talk

The presentation will take place at Atelier Graff on Thursday, October 17, from 6 pm to 8 pm (in English, free admission).

Workshop: Woodcut and installation
The workshop will combine discussions, demonstrations and experiments in woodcut prints.

Neing a professional or emerging artist + having basic knowledge of print-based media.

Born in Finland, Annu Vertanen studied at Kankaanpää Art School, Lahti Polytechnic and School of Art and Design in Helsinki University. Vertanen has exhibited internationally, including in the United States, Japan and England. She has received several awards in Finland and elsewhere in the world including " The Masters of Graphic Art, Drawing and Graphic Biennial " in Györ, Hungary (2009).
