September : Atelier Graff looks like a schoolroom. Since the 3rd of this month, professional artists or those who are in the process of becoming professionals can register for our classes in printmaking. This year, four novelties are being offered, two of which include, Tools and techniques of numerical collage and Interdisciplinary Practices in printmaking. Please visit our Education section for the complete curriculum.
Within its mission for integration of university graduates into professional circles, our organization is welcoming four young artists for Projet Insertion 2014-2015. Rosamunde Bordo, Maude Vien, Ilana Pichon and Arkadi Lavoie-Lachapelle will each be in residence for a four-months period. Meggan Winsley, member of Open Studio in Toronto, will join the group for a two-week period as part of our transcanadian exchange. As is the case every year, September will end with Les Journées de la culture. On September 27th and 28th, from noon to 5:00 pm, Atelier Graff presents Party Fragment, a workshop dealing with the theme of celebration where the participants are invited to experiment with different techniques of printmaking in the company of artists Émilie Bouchard and Virginie Fillion-Fecteau.
October will mark the return of Atelier Graff meet… Guillermo Trejo, an artist of Mexican origin and teacher at Ottawa University, will speak about his practice, full of political hints. A must!

50 years… but always fresh
In 2016, Atelier Graff will blow out its 50 candles. To underline this half century, two exhibits – one will be about the artist book and the other about the interdisciplinary in printed art – will be initiated and produced by Atelier Graff. A total of fourteen artists will have access to the resources of the organization during one full year. Their projects will be presented at the Grande Bibliothèque (BAnQ) and at the Maison de la culture du Plateau-Mont-Royal. As their creative process develops, we will keep you informed about the evolution of their work. To accompany this event, a financial campaign will also be launched. Stay alert.
