Michel Lagacé was born in Rivière-du-Loup (Quebec) in 1950. Since 1976, he has had more than twenty individual exhibitions. Among others: Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal (1979), Galerie 13 (1982, 1984, 1985, 1986), Galerie Schoeneck, Basel (1989 and 1993), Musée du Bas-Saint-Laurent, Rivière-du-Loup (1984 and 1992). He has been represented by Graff Gallery since 1988. His works, at the limit of abstraction and figurative imagery, are part of many public and corporate collections. Michel Lagacé lives and works in Notre-Dame-du-Portage (Quebec).
